I am due to stay at Squirrel’s Nest but we have just entered a lockdown?

***We are busy contacting all guests due to stay with us up until 15th February. If you are due to stay with us after this date, we are going to wait for further announcements from the government before amending any bookings post 15th February.***

Staying at Squirrel’s Nest

What time can I check in?

Check in is from 4pm and check out is 10am.

Guests are more than welcome to park up and enjoy the walks in the surrounding area outside of these times, just please inform us prior to your stay either by email or telephone so that we can ensure there is sufficient parking. When you know your plans, please let us know what time you expect to arrive.

How do I check in?

Prior to your arrival we ask you to inform us of your arrival time and then we will send you a code which will gain you access to your treehouse.

Our treehouses are in a secluded location so please be expected to walk at least five-ten minutes over rough and unlevel terrain from the car park. We will provide you with your own wheelbarrow to transport any luggage. The paths to the treehouses are clearly signposted, owing to the rough terrain we recommend guests wear suitable footwear. If arriving in the dark we kindly ask guests to bring their own torches as there is no lighting provided on the track. For more information about our access please check out our Accessibility Guide https://squirrels-nest.co.uk/accessibility-guide/

Is there WiFi?

Our treehouses do NOT have access to WiFii due to the secluded location. Yet we do have 4G in the odd spot (although we recommend you turn the phone off!).

Will I have a kitchen?

Each Treehouses has an electric cooker with a ceramic hob. There is also a fridge to store any foods you wish to cook; the fridge also has small box freezer. We provide several cooking utensils, pots and pans, however if you would like to check anything, please let us know so we can try and accommodate your request. Cool bags are available upon request.

Is there a hot tub?

All of our Treehouses have a private hot tub which is included in the price of booking. We may check your hot tub during your stay, if this is the case we will inform you prior to our check via text.

Will we have a TV?

Yes, the TV has integrated Freesat so there is a wide variety of channels for guests to watch during their stay.

Is there a DVD player?

Unfortunately, we do not have a DVD player.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, being in a rural farmland area, pets are prohibited due to the livestock and neighbouring farms. Should this rule not be followed fines may be enforced.

Can I drive my car up to my treehouse?

Our treehouses are all in rural secluded locations, so be expected to walk at least five minutes from the car park. Using a wheelbarrow to transport your luggage, you will travel along an unsteady path and rough terrain, meaning there is no direct vehicle access.

Are towels and linen provided during my stay?

Luxury linen and towels are provided in your treehouse, we also supply additional towels for use with the hot tub.

What do we need to bring with us?

All treehouses will be stocked with complimentary muesli, Welsh tea, instant, ground coffee and coffee pods for the machine, olive oil, salt and pepper. Milk can also be provided upon request prior to your arrival.

Squirrel’s Nest is about six miles from the nearest village and shop and 12 miles to the nearest supermarket, so there’s always the option of stocking up while you are here however we do recommend you bring your supplies with you, so once you arrive you can sit back, relax and unwind.

How do I order food/flowers/hampers?

If you want to order a meal to ‘eat in’ we can recommend ‘The Little Welsh Kitchen’ https://www.thelittlewelshkitchen.co.uk/ who will deliver food platters and treats to your treehouse, they also offer an inhouse chef service.

Upon booking you can also order hampers and flowers, via our website or you can email us ahead of your arrival.
