Trawscwm – The Essentials
Trawscwm Treehouse
Our first treehouse (pronounced trawscoom!) was built to a bespoke design by the owner, John, using locally sourced oak, larch and western red cedar. Trawscwm sleeps 4 people, (2 adults and 2 children, 6 yrs plus). Babies can also be accommodated and we can supply a travel cot on request. John was eager to create a unique retreat using his wealth of knowledge and experience working with oak over the past 15 years. We work closely in partnership with local and rural producers to both continue and enhance our focus on sustainable beautiful designs.
The 43inch TV has integrated Freesat so there is a wide variety of channels for guests to watch during their stay. 4G can be picked up on the decking outside and within the grounds. Please note we have no access to wifi due to the location.
With comfy chairs in the lounge, a huge hammock strung between the stilts, and of course, a bubbling hot tub on the deck.

Trawscwm Treehouse will be stocked with complimentary Muesli, Welsh Tea, instant, ground coffee and coffee pods for the machine, Olive oil, salt and pepper . Milk can also be provided upon request prior to your arrival.

Housekeeping & Useful Information
Cooking
Trawscwm Treehouse has an electric cooker with a ceramic hob. There is also a fridge to store any foods you wish to cook; the fridge also has small box freezer. We provide several cooking utensils, pots and pans, however if you would like to check with anything, please let us know so we can try and accommodate your request. Cool bags are available upon request.
Over on the green, there is a Chimney for you to use, whether it’s to toast marshmallows, or to just sit by during a chilly evening underneath the starry skies. We provide skewers (in the kitchen) and wood for the fire.
Washing up
There is a sink inside the Treehouse; washing up liquid, cloths and sponges are provided.
Water
The water in the Treehouse is from our own farm spring and is drinkable.
Keeping warm
The Treehouse has 100mm of insulation throughout. Along with the electric radiators and cosy blankets, we are sure you will be warm on the cosiest of nights.
Bathroom
The Treehouse has a flushing loo, a large frameless glass enclosure with copper shower, a large freestanding bath and a selection of white fluffy towels. Double doors out onto the decking means that you can be ‘at one with nature’, looking out onto the countryside whilst relaxing in the bath… utter bliss!
Storage
The Treehouse is rather bijou, so space is at a premium. There is plenty of storage space under the bed and an ottoman. There are also hooks and hangers for clothing. If you have larger bags that you would like to store, please just ask and we can look after them for you.
Accessibility
Please Note:
Trawscwm and Cadwollen’s are both in rural, secluded location’s so be expected to walk at least five minutes walk from the car park. Using a wheelbarrow to transport your luggage, you will travel along an unsteady path and rough terrain, meaning there is no direct vehicle access.
You’re about six miles from the nearest village and shop, so there’s always the option of stocking up, checking in and just sinking into the perfect seclusion. Please note we have no access to wifi due to the location.
