About
Meet Trawscwm (pronounced traws-coom), the original treehouse and a truly unforgettable family escape in the Welsh countryside.
Beautifully crafted from locally sourced oak, larch and western red cedar, this bespoke retreat sleeps two adults and two children aged six and over, with babies also welcome. Designed with sustainability and thoughtful craftsmanship at its heart, Trawscwm offers a stay that feels as special as the setting itself.
Inside, you’ll find a cosy lounge, Smart TV and Wi-Fi. We also have 4G in the odd spot (although we recommend you turn the phone off!). While outside, the adventure continues with a private bubbling hot tub, outdoor bath and cold plunge bucket shower.
Stocked with complimentary Muesli, Welsh Tea, instant, ground coffee and coffee pods for the machine, Olive oil, salt and pepper. Milk can also be provided upon request prior to your arrival.

Arrivals & Departures
Check in is from 4pm and check out is 10am. Guests are more than welcome to park up and enjoy the walks in the surrounding area outside of these times, just please inform us prior to your stay either by email or telephone so that we can ensure there is sufficient parking. When you know your plans, please let us know what time you expect to arrive. Early check in (from 2.30pm) and late check out (at 11am) is charged at an additional £50 each and can be added to your booking in the extras section before completing your reservation.
Housekeeping & Useful Information
Cooking
- Electric cooker with a ceramic hob.
- Fridge with a small box freezer.
- Several cooking utensils, pots and pans.
- Cool bags are available upon request.
- Over on the green, there is a Chimney for you to use, whether it’s to toast marshmallows, or to just sit by during a chilly evening underneath the starry skies. We provide skewers (in the kitchen) and wood for the fire.
Washing up
- Washing up liquid, cloths and sponges are provided.
Water
- The water in the Treehouse is from our own farm spring and is drinkable.
Keeping warm
- The Treehouse has 100mm of insulation throughout. Along with the electric radiators and cosy blankets, we are sure you will be warm on the cosiest of nights.
Bathroom
- Flushing loo
- A large shower
- A freestanding bath
- Fluffy towels and spa bath robes.
- Double doors out onto the decking means that you can be ‘at one with nature’, looking out onto the countryside whilst relaxing in the bath… utter bliss!
Sleeping Arrangements
- Two adults can be accommodated on the king size bed and two children aged six plus in the mezzanine bedroom.
Storage
- The Treehouse is rather bijou, so space is at a premium. There is plenty of storage space under the bed and an ottoman. There are also hooks and hangers for clothing. If you have larger bags that you would like to store, please just ask and we can look after them for you.
Accessibility
Please Note:
Trawscwm is in a rural, secluded location so be expected to walk at least five minutes from the car park. Using a wheelbarrow to transport your luggage, you will travel along an unsteady path and rough terrain. There is direct vehicle access if needed.
You’re about six miles from the nearest village and shop, so there’s always the option of stocking up, checking in and just sinking into the perfect seclusion.

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking and the remaining payment will be charged to your credit or debit card 8 weeks before your stay.
